Principal’s Welcome

Dear Henry Houck families,

I want to welcome you to the Henry Houck community and family for the school year.  We are very excited to begin our 2021 – 2022 school year with your child and their family.  Last school year was very different, unique and tough at times.  I want to thank you for working with us in making the best of the school year.   

This school year our focus will be on helping your child be successful, socially, emotionally, behaviorally and academically.  With our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) district initiatives program and combining it with our academic curriculum, we hope to support your child all around and help them become respectful and responsible students.  

At Henry Houck we believe in preparing your child not only for their next grade level at the Elementary level but for their future steps at the Middle School and High School levels.  “Student achievement is our goal.  Our number one indicator is for all of our students to have the necessary experiences to develop the knowledge and skills for their chosen career path.”

Our academics focus on the PA State Common Core Standards and district goals, in collaboration with programs like Superkids, Journeys, Math In Focus and ARC/IRLA, to help shape our students academically.
